Writing...
Over the past twenty years (possibly even more) I have thought about writing for a living. I have tried in the past to take the steps to get started with getting my material published. I put stuff on the web, but now I need to take it down if I am going to get serious.
I have a short story running about 5380 words that I'm calling Death of an Exile. I think it's ready to go, but I need professional advice. I am good friends with Jay Lake's mother and I need to contact Jay, who was the winner of the 2004 John W. Campbell award, for advice. I'm scared to call or write him. I'm trying to muster the courage to do that today.
Other works that I have in the background:
There's more but these are probably the pieces I have the most work in.s

Other works that I have in the background:
- Hunter a vampire novel
- Ironguts McCleskey an SF comedy/satire
- Xenic Route Ultimately I think this is a take on the Ark story.
- Final Journey a story looking at a death cult of the future.
- The Shuffle a small time travel story.
- Black Box another small time travel story.
There's more but these are probably the pieces I have the most work in.s
