FEMA Flunky Brown Falls on His Sword
I don't have a problem with Michael Brown quitting a job he was unqualified to have. I have a problem with how he stepped down. You see, Bush didn't do the best thing for the American people. He should have fired Brown. Actually, he should never have appointed Brown because of Brown's lack of qualifications and falsified résumé.
What really bothers me is the quote from Brown about resigning "in the best interest of the agency and best interest of the president." Still protecting Bush, because the conservatives have a cult of personality when it comes to Bush. Bush cannot be held accountable, so some lackey must fall on their sword to protect the president.
This is offensive. No man is greater than the office. No man is above the law. George Bush is not more important that the thousands of people who are now homeless or dead because of his systematic incompetance.
